 Welcome to the new format of the EEOS newsletter. To me, the value of the newsletter is immense. It is a great marketing and public relations tool. Many times, the newsletter is the community’s first interaction with our society. And we all know how important first impressions are. Showcasing our meetings, events, and camaraderie is an invitation to the public to come and see us.

Then, when they come as guests, it is our obligation as ambassadors of the society to make them feel welcome - from the membership table, to the interaction with members, to the refreshment table, and beyond. Making a guest or new member feel welcome is key to our success and continued growth.
 There are some changes planned for the future of the newsletter. However, the newsletter belongs to the society, and I need to hear from you as to what you’d really like to see - more articles, more pictures, more personal news - let me know what you’d like the newsletter to convey to you as a member, and to the public.
You’ll find that I am a very accessible editor. You can reach me by email, phone, or just talk to me at meeting. I want your input and your ideas. This is YOUR newsletter!
